Canopus’s dam, Nora Interagro [Xique-Xique (CI) x Kipper (SA)], is
considered to be one of the top ten Interagro mares. Nora Interagro has an
Interagro progeny of thirteen exceptional individuals, thus far, which
include: Valete Interagro and Xarik Interagro, both exported to the U.S.,
and Uluti Interagro, exported to Australia. Nora’s fertility and quality
is in great measure due to her dam, Kipper (SA), who has an Interagro
progeny of sixteen to-date, and she is still active! Two sons of Kipper,
the mare Radagast Interagro and the stallion Alter Interagro were exported
to the U.S., the latter sold in the 2009 Collection™. The crossing of the
Quina (CI) line with the Firme (SA)/Nilo (MV)/Novilheiro (MV) strain,
especially when the latter is introduced through the fantastic Danúbio III
(MV), is at the core of the development of the Interagro lineage. This
crossing continues to be our preferred genetic combination due to
numerable reasons: no risks, always rewarding and very predictable even
though the offspring often demand more time than the other lineages to
achieve maturity.
Canopus Interagro is an eye
candy iridescent buckskin with correct conformation and a
balanced build. He has 3 solid gaits accented by very nice trot
and naturally balanced canter that already shows great talent
for suspension. He is a comfortable horse to ride and easy to
train. He loves to be handled and adores attention making him a
joy to be around.
