Born on January 08, 1985, he is one of the most important and famous Lusitano stallions of all times. A horse of exceptional beauty and functional qualities, he was Champion of the Champions in Portugal in the year of 1988. Having serviced mares of famous Portuguese breeders Manoel Veiga and Sousa Cardoso, Danubio generated a great many awarded offspring in Portugal, there included OFENSOR (MV), Great Champion of the Golegã still aged four and that today is part of Interagro's stud. Before being brought to Brazil, Ofensor (MV), likewise his father Danubio (MV), covered mares of many Coudelarias, such as Veiga, Sousa Cardoso and Sociedade das Silveiras. In the latter, he left a daughter who became Champion in Lisbon in 2002.

Danubio (MV) is son of Zimbro II (MV) and Oferta (MV) and thus a paternal brother of Dardo II (MV) and maternal of Venturoso III (MV), both widely-known, having been imported by Brazilian breeders Eduardo Fischer and José Victor Oliva, respectively. Zimbro II (MV) is now in Mexico, where he became the main stallion of Coudelaria Gaston Saints. Through Zimbro (MV), Danubio is a grandson of Nilo (MV) and great-grandson of Firme (SA), another pillar of the breed like Danubio (MV) himself. In his pedigree thus, he shows 1/8 of Andrade blood, belonging to the highly demanded modern Veiga/Andrade lineage, started when Firme (SA) spent time at the Coudelaria Veiga. Danubio left a number of offspring at Interagro and two of them, Quixote Interagro and Quantum Interagro, are now part of Interagro's official stallion team.
