An outstandingly beautiful black stallion, bred by Mr. Manuel Braga from Sociedade das Silveiras. In Portugal, before being exported to Brazil, he won several tutoring tests level St. George and left a numerous offspring of superior quality, both at Sociedade das Silveiras and at several other Portuguese breeders. His first Brazilian offspring belong to the generation named with the letter A and came out of mares of all lineages, especially those with colored coats. Nordeste is son of Trinco MMT, bred by Coudelaria Romão Tavares, a very traditional Portuguese breeder well-known for their bullfighting animals. Trinco is a son of the mythological Firme SA, one of the best known stallions in the Lusitano breed, as he has sired Novilheiro MV, Opus II MV, Nilo MV and Neptuno MV and thus become the head of the very important Firme/Nilo/Novilheiro lineage. Nordeste’s dam, Xaqueca CI, is a black Quina (CI) mare, now at Interagro’s brood-mare group. Xaqueca CI has produced animals of excellent quality. The progeny of the Firme/Nilo/Novilheiro out of Quina mares has been one of the greatest achievements of Interagro’s breeding program, being one of the basic lines for the formation of the Interagro horse: animals of great beauty, size and athletic qualities specially bred for the dressage arena. |
