Richebourg Interagro

Richebourg Interagro’s sire, Hippus VF, is son of Dragão II SA, a son of the notable Yacht SA, still servicing mares at Interagro despite his well lived 30 years of age. It is widely believed that mares may have a stronger influence in any breeding program than the stallions themselves. Consequently, through their outstanding sons, they have perpetuated themselves in the pedigrees of the fortunate breeders who own them. This breeding axiom – entirely accepted by the Arabian horse breeders – seems to be working well at many Lusitano breeding farms. Interagro is not an exception; here a few mares, like Cigana MLC, Haste SA, Biluca do Mirante and Jutlândia SA, just to mention a few of them, are responsible for the birth of some of the most important stallions extensively used in our breeding program. Cyclope SA is one of such kind. She is undoubtedly one of the most important mares in Interagro’s breeding program. Cyclope SA is a daughter of Vidago SA, by Euclides SA out of Cybeles (SA), the latter a daughter of Martini SA. Cyclope SA has, so far begotten, besides Richebourg, two other outstanding sons: Quínio Interagro with Xique-Xique CI and Tufão Interagro with Nicola MAC; all serving as official stallions at Interagro. Richebourg first offspring belong to the generation “V”. Despite his young age, he was approved for reproduction with a 76 point score and has already produced about twenty foals at Interagro, all of them bearing those valuable characteristics.
