Tampa Show August 2006

Hello Everyone;

Last week we got to go to Tampa (4 ring / 5 judge) Show.
The show had a great turn out despite the wet weekend with limited covered warm-up space. The small warm-up space(approx 20 m) made it an extra challenge, especially for Shatzie to get ready for the I-2 around terrified armatures’ trying to prepare for the challenges & perils of training level or for Sargon who thought children on Palomino ponies where an interesting concept..?

Umbar/Harley thought it was very exciting the first day but in typical form settled right into his job...he is always so serious. Ultramondo/Mo in his typical attitude think's life is a great adventure and is always willing to try anything once....except the monster fans from the ceiling that rattled like a Hurricane when he tried to ride down to the judges end....That he decided he could have lived a long time without! By the end of his test he got braver and decided they were not put there to grind up little happy grey lusitanos. Umbar in the same ring was too serious to even notice them. They all did their best overall.

Scores:
Harley/Umbar Interagro
1st-4 % 67.778
1st-3 % 71.429
1st-4 % 74.722
Highlight for Harley: was a ‘9’ on gaits’ and getting his two qualifying scores for the Regional’s his first time showing the 1st 4. (He probable wanted to show off his ‘9’ on gaits to whose super star friend… Sargon!)

Ultramundano Interagro & Heather Bender

Mo/Ultramundano Interagro
1st 2 % 56.765 (That would be remembered as the Lusitano killer fan ride!) 1st 4 % 71.389 1st 4 % 71.944
Highlights for Mo: A ‘9’ for a 10 m circle! Personally one of the hardest movements to pull off and make it special! Also beating his serous rival Umbar Interagroon Sunday.

Sargon Interagro & Heather Bender

Sargon Interagro
4th 3 % 70.212
4th 3 % 74.565
Highlights for Sargon: He just as usual was a ‘wow!’ It was a tough show for being a breeding stallion but he managed. He received his 3rd ‘9’ for a walk pirouette! Also doing his first real canter pirouette and getting ‘7’s and ‘8’s. He also got all ‘8’s in his collectives on his second test. This was his first time for 4th 3. He got his scores he needed for Regional’s in October!
